Acura RGV Car Show

Most Sundays I tend to sleep in. These days even when I’m not working, I find myself waking up at 7am without my alarm, and I hate it. Thankfully this morning there was no chance of rain, and after almost a week or more straight of some annoying light rain while dealing with a cold front, a car meet was the perfect way to welcome some great weather.

Without sounding redundant as hell, it was great to get out to a meetup after so long. While on the way over, I found myself in the middle of the LGR convoy, so I knew I was arriving on time. This also marks the first event I get coverage of with the new camera. After years of being away, I’m back behind a Canon, and it felt great. In the past I’ve used whatever I could get my hands on, which included a Nikon, several Sony’s, and my trusty iPhone. Aside from feeling familiar, nothing really feels like home for me like shooting on a full frame Canon DSLR (and I’m not getting paid to write that haha).

The combination of creating images on a camera I enjoy along with seeing some of the usual faces that own some amazing vehicles was a great way to wrap up the weekend. Thanks again to everyone involved in putting this together and giving the local car community a place to hang on a beautiful Sunday morning. Stay tuned for some upcoming coverage and of course some features showcasing some of the best rides from here in the Rio Grande Valley.

Thanks to everyone involved in this event, including Acura of the Rio Grande Valley, the guys from LGR
