It’s been a nice change of pace attending more meets this year. This time I found myself heading out to Penitas, TX for an early morning Cars & Coffee hosted by the guys at Boosted Junkie. These guys have been doing work on some incredible cars out that way, finalizing their shop with titanium exhaust kits on the shelf, as well as an in-house dyno (AWD soon). So I figured the turnout would have a bit of everything from exotics, imports, and more.

Turns out January is a pretty busy month for events! If you follow the Instagram page, you’ll notice there’s been a good amount of event flyers I’ve been sharing – and while I don’t get to attend every one of them, it’s great seeing the surge here in the Rio Grande Valley. This event, however, has been on my calendar for a while now. Not only because it’s so close to me, but because each year it manages to get an even larger turnout.

I honestly couldn’t think of a better way to end a weekend trip up to San Antonio than by checking out the Slow Sunday Motor Club meetup. From seeing some of the photos on their Instagram page leading up to our trip, I knew turnouts always look promising and there’s a bit of everything. But being there in person, coffee in hand, everyone walking around and enjoying every vehicle that pulled up was a reminder of what makes events like this special.
