    Leaps and Bounds

    Cover Photo

People from the south and lifted trucks go together like lamb and tuna fish -it’s just something that’s been a part of living out here in the rough terrain. Having a vehicle that can take a beating, something to be used for tough work, something that can not be limited to driving on a paved road is simply not for the faint of heart. It takes a certain kind of person that decides to turn their truck into a vehicle that has no limitations as far as the roads, or lack of roads, it can drive down. Where most of the automotive community all wants to get a lower center of gravity, this usually means sticking to the best roads in the town and having to map out a very safe route to get to our destination because “crap that one road is total shit and full of pot holes”.

So I’ll start off by saying this will be my last article I write with no real set topic. Let’s face it- I’ve gotten away with these past features just kind of venting on stuff I have bouncing around in my head, although it is still relative to what we are doing here…it’s gotta stop. These next few articles I’ll be doing will be more of an interviewing type where I’ll be getting more personal with the owners of these vehicles. I love shooting cars, I love reading about cars, I love everything you can do to them, but often times we forget that these vehicles would be nothing were it not for the individuals behind them. So if you’re a gear head and like talking to fellow enthusiasts – stay tuned for some of these next articles that’ll dive into the owners back stories as well as their own story with the vehicle we’ll be featuring- but for now…lets talk about the ridiculousness that is the RGV Truckin’ scene, shall we? Let’s shall.

    I Pledge Allegiance….

    Cover Photo

I don’t think I’ve ever touched on this subject which seems to be kind of a big thing to some in the automotive community. It’s not necessarily a bad thing to be dedicated to a certain type of car manufacturer – and it’s not just a car guy thing too, I know a lot of people that will only listen to a certain genre of music specifically – but I digress. What is this deep rooted allegiance we build up towards a certain type of car, whether it be WAY more specific to even the car model – did it stem from a early car related memory? Possibly could have been the first car that turned us into “car guys”. Whatever it may be, this is something I’ve always wanted to dive into and talk to people about – and I’m starting to think this could be a nice little thing to explore on upcoming features.
