Last night was one of the first RGV4CYL hangs I’ve been to in a long, LONG, time. If you’ve been around since the old forum days, and you were a local enthusiast then you’ll remember the name. This was before all the meets that happen now, before hashtags, before needing a trophy just to take your car out, oh no… I’m talking shit again, I wasn’t going to do that this year.

First event coverage of the year, and it’s pretty fitting that the last event I covered was also an Auto-X event by the RGVPCA. This time around two organizations came together which brought two different crowds of automotive enthusiasts together. Sometimes when worlds collide- it’s not such a terrible thing, especially in this case. 

Well, here we are again. We’re less than a month away from having been completely inactive here at Gear-Trends for a full year, and trust me, it’s not a good feeling. I’d come back to look at this site, look for something local to go to, and then just stayed at home. It’s a weird feeling to have something you’re so passionate about take a backseat while life is happening, but it does happen. But what a better way to get back into it then to be at an event, at a new location, seeing cars do what they were built to do?
