Where Do We Go
You know, one of these days I’m REALLY going to try and get one of these features written out and finalized at least a day before it goes up instead of just hours before. If you were to look at my calendar from this past month, yes an actual physical calendar because I still haven’t gotten used to doing any of that on my iPhone, you’d see that some of these days had two- hell even three shoots booked in one day…I’m dumb. I’m seriously lucky I’ve been busy lately, but that will typically come with a downside; aside from your social life being a joke and contact with your friends is limited to a group chat (which gets muted sometimes- sorry guys), or seeing one of them every now and then which whom I work with from time to time – this usually means other fun things take the back burner, which in this case was this shoot. I’m pretty sure the conversation I had with Mando about getting his car put up here happened months back, and finally this happened less than two weeks ago.

Hit The Ground Running
I cant remember the last time I was at the Edinburg 1/4 Mile track to grab a few photos for anything but I’m pretty sure its been a few years. I forget how hooked I get with all things car/motorsports related, whether it be Drifting, Drag Racing, HPDE’s, basically if there is a car on a track of sorts – I’m in. Now I know this year I’ve been slacking…hard, like really hard – and that’s on me for sure. I don’t know what it was but it just seemed I was sort of nearing the point where I thought all this was pointless, I could just post a few photos here and there on Instagram (which we have now, go follow us hah!), or on Facebook and it would pretty much be the same thing- right? There might be a voice in the back of your head whispering, or in my case shouting, that what you’re doing isn’t important, doesn’t matter, isn’t anything special; and its hard to try and sit there and argue with yourself sometimes cause that’s what “crazy” people do. But there I sat, in my room, arguing with myself on whether or not I can still keep this up, and for how much longer- when a friend messaged me, “Hey let me know for sure about Friday so I can leave your name at the gate and you can get in to shoot”

The Final Day of Drift – Goodbye 2016
This has been by far one of my favorite years running this blog, and a lot of it has to do with the type of coverage I was able to get this year. SAR (San Antonio Raceway) has almost become a second home to me and the guys from the ZeroGrip drift club, the first event I attended out there was in April, and its only fair that for our last event coverage piece it ends with the years final Day of Drift Event.
